- Linguistic Society of America (LSA)
- The Linguistics Society of America homepage. The CELP is a part of the LSA.
- Society for the Study of Indigenous Languages of the Americas (SSILA)
- Provides support for native language researchers; offers grants, puts out a bulletin. Consists of professional linguists who meet and discuss native language research.
- Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL)
- Non-profit organization that sometimes offers classes and workshops for linguists to study native languages and pedagogy, and helps endangered languages in various countries survive.
- Society to Advance Indigenous Vernaculars of the US (SAIVUS)
- Provides online course material for Native American languages currently spoken in the United States, as well as a regularly updated blog about Native Language preservation and news.
- Indigenous Languages Institute (ILI)
- Non-profit providing vital language related services to native communities.
- Native Languages of the Americas
- Non-profit organization that provides surface information on several native languages with copious links to various multimedia on those languages. They have basic language lessons for some languages too.
- Ethnologue
- Lists statistical information on native languages such as number of speakers, regions spoken, ISO codes, etc. published by SIL.
- UCLA Language Materials Project
- Contains bibliographies of publications for learning various native languages.
- The Linguist List
- Networking and job site for linguists that can inform you of opportunities pertaining to native languages and put you in touch with professionals who study them.
- Endangered Languages & Cultures Blog
- Hosted by PARADISEC, the blog covers generally anything to do with endangered languages and cultures.
- Living Languages Blog
- Aims to record events relating to language revitalization and inspire others to do the same.
- Resource Network for Linguistic Diversity (RNLD)
- The Resource Network for Linguistic Diversity aims to advance the sustainability of indigenous languages and to increase the participation of Indigenous peoples in all aspects of language documentation and revitalisation through training, resource sharing.

- Organization for the preservation of endangered languages.

- Jack Martin gives tips for maintaining and documenting languages.

- An interactive map illustrating the relative level of endangerment of many of the world’s languages.
